Ideas for College
I'm currently a college student and am looking to start something small that will make me a little money (I'm open to just about anything). With every idea I come up with it seems that someone has already beaten me to it. Does anyone have any ideas?

Mogul,
I just recently started a business as part of a college class that I am attempting to grow to a full time job for myself.
I might be willing to expand to your area, depending on where you are. Franchising, maybe? It involves photography.
Interested? PM me.

Consulting
Hey Sup Mogul:
I've been really into business since I was 12 and now I'm 19. One of the new things I'm really into is consulting. I just got my first book published and released, which has helped me a lot get consulting gigs here and there. I also started speaking at youth organization conferences, churches, seminars, etc.. on various topics. In general, I just think young people are just natually idealistic and forward looking with big dreams for the most part, so I think it'd be cool to just get a group of 3 or 4 college aged peeps together to just hammer out ways to make money by of business ideas, rather it be consulting or starting a campus e-bay type system, or other. So if you want to chat feel free to IM me on aim at PresFu.
Peace,
Joshua Murphy

Dropshipping man, sell products from suppliers that you setup resale accounts with. Costs about 200 to get a business name, Tax Id to be legitimate, I"m a student too and I spend maybe two hours a week on my dropship business and make a decent chunk of money in return.
-think about it.

My advice would be to find a group of like-minded uni students and get together and brainstorm some ideas.
Uni/college is the best place to network and find people with particular skills and interests.
Once you find the right mix of people you should be set to brainstorm ideas and put a few into action.
cheers

Yeah me and my holmes did consulting too...
I used to go SOLO selling cracks, till I teamed up with South Central Hustlaz and started building an agency or something. Turns out, I got more clients and wide range of product line from smoke to pokes (injectibles) and I dont have to pay taxes too since were all considered practicing pros.
Hell we earn 8x the standard salary of a ERP consultant

Start a business targeted toward your fellow college students, dont do anything online/nationally based, it does' t make sense when you have a nice market under your nose. Look for a need, and fullfill it. Running groceries, tutoriing, laundry service, i'm still in high school so i dont have many specific ideas to offer for a college biz...

Dear Mogul,
I understand how frustrating it is to find a way to generate some income whilst having to study and enjoy college life too. I have a younger sister in university in south africa and she was exactly in the same position as you are.She has found a great business that works brilliantly and earns loads of money and does not really do much. check the website below and watch the 7 min presentation, email me and tell me what you think.

I think you will find many college/uni students in the same position as you, looking to start a business, and looking for partners or like-minded people to talk to.
It is definitely worth trying to get a partner or at least brainstorm ideas with others.
Ebay is always a reliable start to make a little cash.
Other than that, focus on the college/uni students because they are a great audience to market and sell to.

NO! Dont do this (hosting that is)! Even though it is low cost and can be easy to set up, becoming very established and well recognized as a good webhost will take you forever! Because of it being low cost and easy set up, the market is soooo over saturated! Thats why you see "companies" offering packages for under $2 a month and not lasting for more than a couple months with 2 clients.
Find a problem on your campus and come up with a solution for it. Maybe transportation is a problem for students that either do not have a car or dont want to drive everywhere. Start a taxi company/ride service for the students. Something like that. Think unique!
