    i was thinking

this is random and completely off topic but................. I've been thinking a lot, and personally "I" want to change the world, the way we look at things, how everyone is so distant from each other, how bad the world really is now.

And I don't know how, and I can't get it out of my head. The only way i've seen it done through the past is through music, and I'm no musician.
You can't achieve your goals if you don't take that chance so go pry open your trunk and take those amps.

If your no musician then organize a gathering and work to bring the music to the people. Do it for a cause. You can make a difference and have a great time doing it.

the first thing you can do is look at the NOW.

Living your dream is about living in sync with your own reality. Your words and your actions must agree.

Start with this forum. Look at some of your posts, the questions you are asking and some of your replies.

    Are you-
    1. Reading with purpose
    2. Interpreting with compassion
    3. Responding with conviction

You need to be thinking independently and writing in a tone that will help others first and yourself second. If you want to be a powerful person you must empower others. I would like to see some better quality and more enlightening posts from you Mr. Gale. Slow down and start thinking through things a little a more. The ideas along with the answers to your questions will soon follow.

Start a business, make sure it succeeds. Then make another one... Keep working hard and grow your wealth.

Only with money you can do those things you said.

If your really ambitious, try helping me out in this business I am hoping to start, if you want a piece of it.

My advice is to find a cause or causes that you really love and support and do what you can to help those out, at least as a starting point. If you don't know what that is, then start by choosing a lot of things and see which ones you enjoy. There are tens of thousands of nonprofits that are looking for volunteers to help them. Start by volunteering with nonprofit organizations, a variety of them, and see which ones interest you.

I know many years ago I was interested in "helping out" where I could when I had available time, but I didn't know what to do. So I tried a few different things, I signed up for an organization called "Young Nonprofit Professionals Network" which is a network of young professionals who all have an interest in nonprofit, many of whom currently work in nonprofit, others who just have an interest. Over time I found my passion to be youth education, specifically high school/college education. Now I volunteer time to help promote science and technology among high school students through a program called FIRST and I am an associate board member for an organization that helps underpriveleged, overachieving high school students attend college.

My advice is for everyone, not just Andrew.... Find something you really care about and just start by volunteering and see where that takes you. Not only will you be helping your community or the world around you, as it pertains to this forum- it will also give you critical business skills and expand your network.

As some on this site know, I moved back to my hometown because I did some investigating and invested time into looking into how the people in the community were doing as it is a poor area. Like others have said on here, I volunteered at a local agency, I talked to everybody I saw, and asked them what their needs were. Hence, my home business, E-Waste of Middle Tn. From personal experience, you have to find something that you are capable of doing, and have a commitment to change something, and start from there...oh, and no matter what, don't shut up about your message until it's actually heard! (just my 2 cents worth)
