Check out this site and see if something inspires you -- Sitepoint Marketplace - marketplace [dot] sitepoint [dot] com

This is a really neat site to get ideas for companies or bid on sites that are already started.

I'm glad you would like to pursue this, however, first, I think you should learn to type properly.

Then browse this forum along with my site (in my signature) and Google search other business sites for business information.

Good luck and welcome to self-employment.

I am wondering what should a young man like myself start to do to get involved in corporate business? I also would like to build a website, but don't know what the topic should be.
Please help me by responding by PM so I can check it in the morning.
    Thanks

I just have to jump in here because I have noticed that people who do a lot of texting are really bad about typing incorrectly. I believe there is a place for quick-note texting (leaving out caps and making words out of less letters and numbers) but I think it is so important to at least LOOK a little educated when you are in the real business world. Since we do not see your face or talk verbally on a regular basis, that is all that people have to know you by. If you want them to think you have any credibility at all, it's best to use proper spellings and punctuation. I know it's probably hard to revert back to what you may have learned in key-boarding class, but I think you will be glad you took the time to do it, as your efforts will pay off in the relationships you build to get your business growing.

Probably the first step towards making money on your own would be to honestly pay attention to what you type. You need to revise everything you have written at least twice. Not trying to offend you, I'm glad that you might learn this lesson early in the game before you start building sites that the general public will see. After that a great place to learn about getting in the game is the thirty day challenge. Look it up it's a great internet business course that is free with no strings attached. That is how I got my start, and would recommend it to any aspiring entrepreneur. Good luck and don't give up, that's the most important part!

A guy named Rob Adams used to always tell me that good ideas are a dime a dozen; instead, what's important is execution and seeing that idea to fruition. Nothing beats persistence and passion. Just having a brilliant idea isn't going to get you anywhere.

Jessebelcourt, How does one get their hands on that course? It sounds useful.
