    I need advice

I am 15 yrs old and am a sophomore in high school. I do good and have a gpa of 4.8, but I hate high school so much. I hate the curriculum and I don't like any of my teachers or the kids at school. I want to start a business and risk everything.

What is your opinion of high school, and college? Is it really as important as all my retarded teachers tell me it is? One of my teachers even said we will fail in life if we don't do our hw.

I am so confused and depressed. I need some outside advice. I really want to get through in life without high school.I want to see if I can do bad in HS and start experiencing the reality of entrepreneurship at an early age.

The worst part is is that I don't know what I want to do. I find everything boring. I have lost motivation ever since I started HS. I want to find a desire and a passion through which to build my future, but the more I look, the more I get frustrated. How do I look for what I love???

Don't say HS is important if you don't have reasons and examples to back up your claims.

There must be something out there that makes you feel like you have just taken a drug, what is it? What gives you a high. Tell me this and then I will try and help you.

    Man,

A basic high school diploma is a real necessity in life. You need to know the basics about math, English, and other subjects to help give you some idea of how to run a business.

Along with that if your business dream fails, it is hard to get a job (while you regroup) without a HS diploma, along with that it will be hard to find any kind of financing for a business being young and HS drop out. As to the question on college you can do a search on here to see people opinions of the necessity of college, but I think you will be hard pressed to find anyone on here that will tell you it's a good idea to drop out of High School.

There is a lot about running a business that can be tedious and boring, but you need to be able to push through and get it done or the business will fail. I would say the same for a HS degree, it may be boring, and may seem to not apply to what you want to do, but it is the basic foundation for the rest of your business education.

    Good Luck

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? Sports, music, reading, gaming, anything at all...Focus on what makes you happy. EVen though you fee really down now, I know there is something that really makes you tick. That is your starting point for finding your purpose and building something meaningful around it. High school and especially college is not everyone. Society puts way too much importance on formal education so I won't say you have to do either. I do suggest finishing high school just because in the event you have trouble starting your own business, you can at least find a job in the meantime while you figure things out. Whether you like it or not a high school diploma is required for most jobs. That's life. I'm sure you have, or soon will have, expenses and you don't want to suffer for no reason. Think things through before you make any rash decisions you will later regret.

I have Masters in Biochem but haven't worked in my field in almost 6 years!
My real passion has been music and I have been promoting my band ''The Integral'' full time for quite a while now. My band has created its own story from the ground up and in its 10 year history we have played hundreds of gigs, gotten good press and been featured on radio, released and sold thousands of copies of our 2 Albums (involuntary movement, and 002), and have managed to share the stage with several signed acts like 3, Trapt, Dredg, The Ataris, Pulse Ultra as well as a slot on the Vans Warped Tour in Montreal a few years back. The cherry on top was getting our second album released in Japan in September 2008 and touring 5 cities for two weeks in February, which was mind-blowing! These are experiences to last a lifetime and I have learned so much about business, life, and most importantly about myself.

To supplement my income I have been growing my own business marketing breakthrough technology that will be in millions of households over the next 3-5 years. I also earn profits promoting services that millions are using already. Simple concept, simple business. Residual income is key. Being a salaried employee in today's economy where job security is a rarity is just not that appealing. It will never keep me comfortably ahead of my expenses in the long run, even if I am as diligent as possible because the system is rigged to keep the masses down. The world's economy is getting increasingly dire all the time with skyrocketing food, oil, and housing costs. The disparity between rich and poor is always getting larger. Salaried employees and hourly wage earners are the foot soldiers who are taxed to death while making a select few rich. As the saying goes ''the house always wins''.

As you can see I'm a fairly ''out of the box'' guy and haven't stuck to a traditional, conservative path. I have no regrets for anything I have done. That being said, it took me time to get to where I am, and having gone to a lot of school showed me what hard work and discipline is about. Everyone's story is different and the best thing you can do is be passionate about what you work on so it doesn't feel like work. Stack your deck in your favor. Nothing is easy so finish high school and then try to land some job so at least you can earn some money. Avoid wasteful spending and credit cards and build a small savings. While doing so figure out what you want to do. If working for yourself is what you want, do it. If college makes more sense then, do it. Whatever it ends up being, when you're ready, make some bold moves...You only live once. Best,

High school builds your own value for the business world, whether its the most basic knowledge you take away from it or the perception it gives other people about you. Best of all, its FREE (in a sense). I wouldn't dismiss a chance at something so simple and basic thats offered to you for free.

I just graduated college and it was super expensive. If I could take free classes in certain subjects now that I'm out I would. I never liked school, but there are a lot of people out there that know some incredible things, and the easiest way to learn them is to read it ourself or attend a lecture (or both, which you do through formal education).

College isn't necessary, but the contacts you make and things you learn about yourself are invaluable. You need to find something you love to do. Once you find that, see if there's a fun way to make money off it. If you don't have tons of pressure to make a huge profit, you can end up immersing yourself in whatever it is more than you ever would have if it was just a hobby.

What are your goals in life? Family? millions of dollars? quiet house in the country? Condo in the big city? Figuring out what you want is the most important step to getting it. Once you know what you want, its soo much easier.
