Hey whats going on everyone im new here but I have a question Ok so during my days i think alot about business in general and i just have this very big passion for it. Now im going to be a freshmen in college and I dont know what part of business I want to do. I really have alot of those big dreams of starting a sucessful business or being a Co founder of a sucessful business. I see you guys making money at young ages and it just gets me anxious to just plan something. I really dont have money right now but i want to take my thoughts and dreams and make them real. No one around my way that I know has been sucessful and I just want to show them that nothing is impossible. Can anyone give me any advice or help?

Start by reading some good books like "Think and Grow Rich", or "Losing My Virginity", by Richard Branson.

And hang around the General Business forum to see what types of business ideas people are thinking about.

Hova14, what are some things that interest you? What resources (besides money) do you have right now that could be put to good use in a part-time business?

    Business Start Up Help

After running a business for almost 10 years I have found that you need to create experiences in order to find out what is right for you. Reading will help lay the foundation, but when it really comes down to it you need to ask many questions. Offer to take a business owner to lunch or ask a successful entrepreneur if you can shadow them for a day so you can really see what it takes to be successful. I do have a business coaching website that will help lay that foundation called Coach With Matt.com. This may help you at least build your foundation so you are ready to jump into business with two feet. Anything else I can offer, please let me know.

    Hi Hova14,

Before going for one specific business, do some thinking and look for the best option. Even don't hesitate in discussing it with friends or with people around your place. Sometimes the best suggestion comes from quite unexpected place. Once you have decided on the nature of business, evaluate how much investments need to be done. How much of the capital you can arrange yourself and how much of it needs to be arranged from banks and all that.

The most important thing of having a successful business is to evaluate your each step before taking it. Best luck.

Great Suggestion. But i have a question Hova14, What would you do if you wouldn't get paid for your services? What give you the most joy, when you engage in this activity? Once you answer these two question. Ask yourself do you want to be successful in this activity? What do you most love to do?

Then you will get you answer for your future!

Finding your passion and pursuing it is the key to being successful. I say this based on my 25 years of experience. We will all run into roadblocks that set us back. Capital. People. Marketing. So for the successful entrepreneurs I know and me personally, it's not only about the money. It's about being totally connected with the purpose and passion. Ask yourself what you would do for free, in business, and what you can remain really passionate about as you think about a business to launch. Then get ready to bootstrap.
