    Hypnotism in Sales

Has anyone given any thought to actually using hypnotism in selling? (The art if persuasion.)

lol I think that would be extremely illegal once discovered lol. And besides, its not an exact theory or science...not everyone is susceptible to hypnotism.

Besides, we have other "hypnotic" techniques in advertising as is. If u mean hynoptism in direct sales, or retail? Im not sure what u mean.

There are already various techniques used in Hypnotism that where adopted by advertising agencies and are now being used in sales.

There is something called imbedded commands that are used in sales pitches/copy; certain shopping malls use music with embedded subliminal messages; there are websites and sales presentations that use subliminal messaging as well; many sales forces are trained to use Neuro Linguistic Programming with their clients; etc, etc, etc.

Advertising is full of these type of practice, but not all are classified as black arts (illegal), what's more, most are undetectable, as they happen below the day to day Beta state of mental awareness.

There are many studies of these and their effects in the human mind, but not many reports of its effectiveness in commercial uses, and for good reason I say. I would love to have a sales team full of Rasputins, but how do you control them?

Dangerous is this my young Padawan.
