How to patent fashion design sketches

How do I go by getting my fashion design sketches patended? Do you know about how much it'll cost for 1 outfit to get patended? Any advise will be helpful. Any personal experiences will also be helpful. I googled it, but I didn't find much that was helpful because it's kinda confusing. Thanks

Go to some certain department of the local government to patent the copyright. The officer there will tell you what you should do.

You didn't find much because you don't patent a fashion design. Research copyrights and trademarks instead.

Also, you might start hanging out at fashion-incubator.com (note the hyphen). The forum owner can be a pain if you ask a stupid question, so just hang out, read the tons of info on the website/blog and you will discover everything you will ever need to know about fashion design.
