Hi guys,

There is this flash video on this site - Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency

The main one there, and I want to rip it as my uncle is on it...lol

I can't figure out how to do it. I right clicked to view the source but no luck. Does anyone know how to rip that video from the site?

Get a video capture of your screen and crop it?

no not a print screen, i need the actual video

Yeah, video capture your screen. There are several free programs you can use to get live video captures.

Ohhhh ok I get you now...yea that is one option, but I'd prefer to see if I can find something that just extracts the video. I'll look into that though, thanks J

Download Firefox if you do not already have it installed on your operating system. Once on the desired site's web page right click and select View Page Info. Once the window is open click on media and the URL should be inside the list. If you have the video player it's a 50/50 chance you can extract the video. The movie will either be in the coding of the flash document or directly part of it - either way it would be impossible to rip. Regarding the fact this is a video player, the video should be a separate movie and should be possible to rip either through de-encryption or obtaining the separate code (if any) from the embed script.

In a case like this, if I see some sort of media that I know for a fact is not copyrighted and would be legal for me to use I often simply save the page to my computer into a folder on the desktop. "Save page as" can normally be found under "file" in your web browser. I came across a 25MB flash file I wanted and that is how I did it.
