I am 23 years old and am one of two people working at my company. I am a 50% owner and handle all online activity. My partner is a older gentleman with a heart of gold. He is more of a old school marketing guru ( but he doesn't know it) If you asked him, he would say "I'm a people person, that's all". He is the main reason for the companies existence. I was completely broke with only determination. He was a man who gave me a shot and i took it. So our company is ran, operated, maintained by two people and we do very well. (Although I am thinking about making my wife work for me) LOL

This thread reminds me of the cashflow quadrant by Robert Kiyosaki. Self employed are still in the left quadrant and to move to the right quadrant you need to either own a Biz or be an investor.
I believe being self employed is an extension of being an employee.. you will end up working more trying to keep afloat your biz. While People who own Biz or are investor make others work and earn their money.

I am a huge fan of Robert Kiyosaki and traderbiju is absolutely right. If you are the only employee of your company then you are not a business you are self employed. There is nothing wrong with being self employed but if wealth is your ultimate goal then having people working for you is a necessity. The key is to make sure those people are generating more revenue than what it costs to maintain them as employees. When you have employees working for you it affords you the time to go out and seek new business.
