How Do You Start A Online Store/Busniess??

Hi Everyone,

My name is Adam. I am 20 years old and I live in central IL. I am trying to find a new way to make money on the internet. I tried the Home Based Bussiness game. Didn't work for me. I know it does work for some people. It just was not for me. Anyway...I have have heard that some people can make a great income starting a online store and selling their own product's. Now Please don't get me wrong...I know it does not happen over night. But I am willing to put time and effort into starting a online store. My father knew a guy that makes a great amount of money doing just that. Took him years before the big bucks started to roll in. It was worth it tho. Problem is that my Dad has not had contact with the guy in 2 years. So how do u strart a online store. I know you need to pick a Niche in what your interested in. Also Traffic, Proudct's, Seo Experience. Marketing Experience. What else do u need? If anyone would be willing to give me some advice or some ideas....please feel free to call me...or reply to this post.

Hi Adam,

You are well on the right track. I would start by researching the niche that you are interested in also. See how much competition is out there for that specific niche and what they are doing. Traffic either takes a tremendous amount of work to build up, or alot of money paid to SEO companies to market for you.

I would recommend finding a good website that you can integrate your product into.

I agree that the first step is really to find something that your passionate about to sell. It might be hard to stay super excited about selling candles if you really don't care about them. After you decide on a product, come back to this site and more questions about starting a store with that product.

What can you find to sell online thats NOT already an over saturated market, and not the mention the competition will be able to beat you on price because more than likely they warehouse all their products in bulk. Is this a dropshipping site?
