    Affiliate marketing yes...

But the all important "sell information". Information in the form of ebooks are the best sellers on the net. If you sell your own products on your blog, sales will by far pass any affiliate program you are promoting.

I have a few blogs and one of them makes 50k+ every year selling my ebooks. Then my affiliate commissions are a far second, making less than 10k a year.

Show people you are an expert in your field and the money will pour in once you concentrate on targeted traffic.

It may take about three months to drive steady traffic to your blog. But once you do, keep advertising and making those posts. Search engines like google only find the newest content.
Let me teach you how to "Work at Home Online" for "FREE".

Basically, advertising programs can help your contents bring money more and it has been the one of the basic choices of bloggers nowadays, focusing on contextual ad programs such as the Google AdSense. But there are still other ways to keep the money going. See from this list by Darren Rowse at ProBlogger.com:

Sponsorship -In addition to the array of advertising programs that are available to join there is a growing awareness in the business of the value and opportunity that exists for them to advertise directly on blogs. Sponsorship is also happening on a post by post basis with some bloggers being paid to write on certain topics by companies – either in one off or a regular fashion – and they are able to make big money from their blogs doing so.

Affiliate Programs – There are larger affiliate programs like Amazon, Linkshare, Clickbank and Commission Junction but also literally thousands of others from the large to the very small.

Blog Network Opportunities – with the rise in popularity of Blog Networks – bloggers are also being presented with more places to earn an income from their blogging – by writing for and with others.

Donations – Tip Jars and donation buttons have been a part of blogging for years now but this last year saw a number of bloggers go full time after fund raising drives.

Agree with hippie. There are soooo many blogs out there, so you really have to stand out! Write about useful stuff, something interesting that would attract people. Promote your blog via social media - facebook, digg, reddit, etc.

Also, even here, look at your sig --- your link is "my blog" --- write a little description that would attract people and link it to your blog, so they want to click on your link .... No one is interested in "blog" ,... BUT there might be lots of people interested in "Success tips for entrepreneurs " -- you know what I mean?

Once you have decent traffic then go after advertisers..

    Good luck!
