how can one find serious investors?

I think I have done everything as stated here in this forum... Done the business plan, already progressing with the project on my own, trying to market everywhere, and also trying to ask everywhere. But all we have received is 4 contacts in 2 weeks, all of them is asking for money up-front any positive proof, and after searching a few days all of them turns out to be liars. Well they are just offering to find an investor for me, and that they'll update my plans and all as they think it would be better.

Here in Hungary I can approach no-one. All the rich investors are impossible to reach, and the small ones are sitting on their money, and watch it fade away with the recession.

How does it work abroad?

I feel your pain. I have several products that are in need of development, finding a serious invester can be tough. I hope to sell my product on TV then move to hardware and auto part stores.I am willing to do all the leg work and selling. Getting a second mortgage is hard to swallow in todays ecomony. Keep marching and good luck
