How are you going to spend you stimulus check money?

So, the stimulus checks are hitting accounts this week, and will soon be going out in the mail...How will you be spending yours? Or will you be spending it at all?

Laptop, some stuff for the website, take my wife out to a nice dinner, maybe pay off the credit cards, stuff like that.

I am going to buy gas. Wouldn't you know it, the guy that controls the fuel industry gives us extra money back just in time for the highest fuel prices to hit.

I guess his plan worked all along

Me and my husband were expecting 1200 but for some odd reason we only got 600 back. some silly rule that was not advertised. Still dont know why though. Really stinks. Cant get much for 600 dollars, I will just add it to my investments I guess

I'm actually taking my girlfriend to NY to watch RENT...great musical! This is the last year that it will be on Broadway and she's never seen it. What better way to experience it than on Broadway!

We had the same issue. Only got $600 deposited into our account. Once I looked into the regulations further, I found that our stimulus was reduced due to our tax liability being less than $1200 (it was $0, so $600 is still ok with us). There are only a handful of reasons why it would be reduced and they can all be found on the IRS's website. Economic Stimulus Payment FAQs: Receiving the Stimulus Payment

Stimulus Cheque is applicable only for US citizen . Stimulus payment is a a tax refund for the 2007 income. Starting May 2, million of US citizen will receive it.
