A very good friend of mine is coming home from Afghanistan in about a week, and in fact may be out of country and be in Germany right now.

Hoooraaayy!

This post is not about whether you agree with the war or not, but rather how many of your friends have gone and hopefully come home.

I am extremely fortunate that three friends and my brother in law have all been "over there" somewhere, 1 Marine, 1 Army, and 2 Navy. And I have a fifth friend going over to Kuwait as a civilian for a year contract, so I'm not quite done holding my breath yet. Of course, with what they are paying civilians over there, if I could find a flight gig I would do it in a heartbeat, and my wife would pack my bags.

Anyway, talk about your friends that have gone. Express your happiness that they are back, or your remorse of loss. We'll either cheer or mourn with you, but those of us back here can pull together and support the troops, as well as each other.

yes i agree with the war for the simple fact that I like not being attacked when i think of it as a trade off i would rather have higher taxes then be dead
