    Arrow High School Courses ???

So I'm in grade 10 right now and these are the courses i plan on taking in grade 11.

    English -
    Enriched Math -
    Science -
    Information/Consumer Design -

    Busines courses
    -introduction to marketing
    -financial accounting fundamentals
    -entrepreneurship
-information and communication technology : the digital environment. (web design and other software)

I was wondering if I should also take Law since its a good background to have (Canadian law, International law is grade 12) and switch it with one of them. Or should I just take the grade 12 course later on since I plan on moving away from Canada after highschool.

Also, would you guys recommend taking all 4 business courses. I believe that they are needed to be successful in the business fields. However, I may be wrong and so i need your advice. I was going to ask a guidance counsellor but like they say in the books, experience is not something they teach at school.

    HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED! THANKS!

**Please post what courses you took.

    omg!!!

    save your self

I did IT/business/law both in high school and university

    don't do it!!

these are horrible, horrible areas of interest

do something with sports, public service, architecture, building, flowers, tourism, music...something interesting and creative, but certainly not IT, business or law

I can't stress enough how awful, boring and unrewarding careers in these fields are

no - do something that's fun at this stage. you'll always have the opportunity to study law/business in postgraduate studies. if you want my advice - try to have a normal first 25 years of your life. if you start worrying about all this business/money stuff at an early age; you're gonna be uninteresting, you won't have friends, you'll have a very dull time growing up, and you're gonna be angry all your life that at 18 years old you worried more about balance sheets than head cheerleaders

take it from me: been there, done that

studying business will certainly make you a better entrepreneur.....but if I was 16 again, I'd certainly overlook starting businesses for a living. entrepreneurship is an extraordinary painful and unforgiving occupation. I'm certainly not gonna be recommending it to my children. I'm gonna push my kids to work in government, the arts, or something else totally easy, breezy and without stress.

anyway...if you wanna have a shot at some startups in the future - do the business subjects....personally, I would wait to do an MBA and then worry about all that business stuff

I am in 10th grade. Next year I will be taking:

    AP English Literature
    IB American History
    AP Calculus AB
    IB Spanish III
    IB Biology II
    IB Physics
    Guitar IV

They don't offer any business classes at my school, and even if they did I probably wouldn't take them.

I don't think it's nice to take 4 business courses altogether.

You need to concentrate on basic courses first.

How bout try to take up 2 business courses first so you can focus well.

You don't need to rush things up. It's better to learn something from 2 courses than to finish all 4 courses but not learning anything.
