Obvious to me is the fact that you might want to consult an attorney. From your statement that Marvel could sue your pants off if you sell X-men cards, it is apparent that you are misinformed as to your legal rights.

    Hmm..what exactly do you mean?

Do you mean a trading card shop? It will be easier if you are an avid collector and gamer yourself. obviously it wouldn't be an attractive business for you if youre not interested in the world of it. To start with, get in teh circle. Know how to procure the sets form the distributors.

Or do you mean starting a whole new set or card game? New card games are like vidoe games: they are so much hard to promote and sell. This is because of competition. The best thing for you is to contact game companies and make a partnership, pitch in the ideas.

You don't have to cosult a lawyer if you are buying the cards to resell. I f you are going to make the cards, then yes, you need to speak with an attorney..

Anyway, its very easy to get into the trading card business. I used to by boxes of baseball, footbal, and hockey from upperdeck. Then I resold them on ebay for a bundle.

Just goto the card manufacturer and buy straight from them. Im not sure who makes X-Men trading cards, but if you buy a pack, look at who makes them. You'll pay low prices with maximum profit.

If you are going to resell them online without a store, I suggest you concentrate on full boxes(not packs) and rookie/rare cards. That's where the money is with trading cards.

If you have any questions feel free to pm me. I am very familar with trading cards and what does and doesnt make money.
