I wondered what everyone thought about the new business i just launched. Its an innovative advertising and promotions company, its Headvertise ( www.headvertise.com ). Take a look and tell me what you think. No this is not spam, just need feedback.

I am a senior in college, and started this so that when i graduate i would have something to do, however its becoming a full time job.

We are also looking for advertisers, anyone of you who want to try us out, we will do a trial one week campaign at our cost, so let me know. Know someone who could be a good advertiser, email me at jkapust@headvertise.com and tell me that you know someone. Then try to sell the concept with them. If you do it, we will give you 20% of our profits of that deal and deals with them down the road. We are not out to make a fortune, just out to be different.

I checked out the headvertise site and I think it is a great advertising source for people who's business target audience is college students. I am definately going to try it for my G-luv condom line.

Brilliant...so the students wear the logo of the advertising company that corresponds with the posters around school...do they also have some sort of background on the company so that when people ask "wtf are you doing with that on your head?" they can spit it out?

How have you secured people like roommates.com in such a short time? That sounds like a great acheivement in this short amount of time. Congratulations on that.

Are you thinking of expanding to the west coast anytime soon? There are a ton of colleges over here that are in need of programs like this for their broke students. Consider WSU and UOI (Washington State University and University of Idaho) - they are both within 10 miles of eachother and both very large, especially WSU - plus the students here are crazy.

The site looks great, the business model looks great - a lot of thought definately went in to this. Congratulations and good luck!

One more thing...how many students do you have signed up for this already? What's your pricing structure like?

We have over 300 people nationwide who want to do this, but in our active schools alone, a few more than 100. Somebody posted the site on several forums, and as such students from around the country flooded in to see us, 3000 a day for about 3 days.

Do you go to a west coast school, because before we expand we need team leaders, people trustworthy, and who aren't really in to it for the buck, not yet at least. We also need people who can make sales, for a percentage of our profit. As full time students, it is very hard to do it all.

Roommates.com was a 5 headvertiser deal starting on the 27th of October. We contacted them off the bat with an email, offering services, in a witty way, and they responded with a sponsor contact form, we called back and forth. Didn't go anywhere, then when we had our first sale, with no profit, so we wrote him back with the same deal, and he jumped in.

So that is our story. Beerchiller.com looks to have fallen through but other than that setback, we are revving to go. We are looking for people to advertise with us starting November 2nd, know anyone who may be interested, let them know. If something turns into a deal, we could work a deal for profit sharing (like 20% on initial and future sales).

We need all the help we can get.

My old lady goes to WSU - but I have a lot of connections to WSU and UOI - what's the next move?

Sorry, yes all students meet up, and are trained in the campaign they are running. This is a company background, what the product is, where you can get one, why they should get one, and the costs involved.

We are a full service we think, there might be more that we can do but a start comes first.
