Have superb original and simple idea but need investor for potentially huge return

I'm not sure if this is the right place for me to be, but here goes.

I have an idea that's been kicking around in my head for sometme. It's internet based, it's not marketing, ebooks, get-rich-quick schemes or anything like that. There is a parallel tried and tested market already in existence that is making billions, but there is nothing like my idea out there at the moment. I know because I've already done the research.

I can't say anymore, because the idea is so simple, yet it hasn't been done. The potential returns are on a grand scale. People I am close to whom I have told think it's an incredible idea and don't know why it hasn't been done yet either.

I'm an extremely hard worker, I make professional broadcast video for a living, I'm a Creative. However my idea has nothing to do with my business. I'm not afraid to put in the hard work, I'm motivated and highly skilled at what I do. However I lack the business knowledge and acumen to put this venture together.

I need two things. Clever programmers to build the website infrastructure and help design it, and I need an investor(s) to inject starting capital into it (ie. to pay the programmers).

I'd like to keep the numbers as small as possible. I think I may be able to find the investor(s) I need offline, but I need smart people who can help design and build the infrastructure.

If the likes of Facebook, eBay, MySpace, Twitter and Google can do it, I can't see any reason why there's not room for the next best web giant out there.

This is a serious venture and I promise you won't be wasting your time with me. But I'm only looking for genuine contacts only. I'm sorry there's not a lot to go on right now suffice to say that this is a realistic venture that could potentially be huge for us. Anyone interested?

Alternatively, if you feel I should be going about this another way, I would appreciate and welcome any advice.
