    Goals...

How many people set them? How many people keep track of them? How many people reach them?

I've found that over the past few years that I keep reaching my goals way to fast. It may be luck it may be skill... what ever it is... I want to know what everyone else thinks...

I do set goals but at the moment I'm in the brainstorming phase. I hope to start a new venture in the following weeks with a business partner so we'll see how that goes.

Great to hear that you always accomplish your goals, I hope I become as lucky & as successful one day.

There is nothing wrong with reaching goals fast. If you want to reach them with greater effort, or more slowly, set the bar higher.

Mt step-dad thinks my goals are so high as to be unattainable. I don't know how not to shoot for the moon. But given time and the right opportunity, I keep getting there. It's just that the it's always different then I imagined.

Goals setting is very important and without them i dont think you can make headway in what to you want to achieve in life.I set various types of goals like just towards the end of each year i sit down and write out my goals for the coming year and every day i strife to carry them out and most of them are achieved. Some goals have a longer time span allocated to them like to get the bigger things in life and i am confinced if you want something and you want it bad you will end up getting that goal as the mind set works in a very powerful way and with that ability to programme the mind to help you,Nothing will stop you from getting what you want from life

I forgot to say i wish i could talk to the England football team about Goal setting because this last year they have been rubbish :-)

Set it high enough as to force you to get out of your comfort zone to attain it. This way you'll experience personal growth as well.

Hmmm...I never really set a specific goal but a rather visualize a general level I am trying to reach. Don't know, is my general vision easier on me if I should fall short?

That's just great you are making your goals! When you set them it was set for a stance of improvement. This means you are improving very fast! Good for you. Set them a little farther than, and remember, when you are young and full of energy goals can come faster. When you get older accomplishing goals can slow so enjoy it now. Trust me, I know.

I have different kinds of goals my short term goals and my long term goals.

short term goals = long term goals

The harder you work = the more lucky you will be

Happy life! keep up the good work

Well, specifically, this is kinda the way I do it as well. For example, I says to myself, "I want to build a website with A, B, C capabilities." I start with this "vision". I don't know nothing about building websites, and I got no money to have one built, so I fumble around till I got something to build on. Once I get far enough to see what I need specifically, and I can map out how to get those things, now I have "goals" to achieve.

The original "vision" is the moonshot, and usually because I can see what I want to do, but others cannot.

I usually am more of a "vague goal visualizer" but I set my first concrete goal today - I want to hit 1000 uniques this month (lame, I know, but a girl's got to work her way up, hm?) on my site DormWise which means about 40 visitors a day for the next six days. I don't see any reason why I can't manage this and I've been working forums, emails lists, friends, family and just about whatever I can. It'll be a good exercise for me, even if it's a small goal .

    Good luck to everyone!!

I always set short and long term goals and make sure I reach them. This keeps me focused and on course.

Shoot for the moon and if you miss you'll land among the stars.
