    Freelancer or Entrepreneur?

It just hit me that I'm a little confused: what's the difference between an entrepreneur and a freelancer?

    freelancer
A person who sells services to employers without a long-term commitment to any of them.
An uncommitted independent, as in politics or social life.

    entrepreneur
    1. a person who organizes and manages any enterprise, esp. a business, usually with considerable initiative and risk.
    2. an employer of productive labor; contractor.

So essentially you could be both at once.

A freelancer can be a entrepreneur but not always.

Some freelancers have multiple clients and are required to do everything small business owner is responsible for. (like me)

Some freelancers only are temps at other agencies or companies so therefor act more like employees of a company as opposed to entrepreneurs getting business for themselves.

Usually when someone is a freelancer they are just by themselves offering a particular service.

at least that's my take on it.

The freelancer provides a service to the overall business...the entrepreneur builds the business from the ground up and implements freelancing where he/she sees fit as it will be more effective and efficient to do so.
