Hey, just out of interest, which do you prefer out of Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer and why? I ask as I've recently started to use Firefox and was wondering what other people thoughtt of it...
Cheers, Sam

Firefox is alot better, mainly because of the tabs.
Plug in's are also great. I dont know the last time I saw an add or a popup![]()

Yeah, I would definately agree with that! For some reason, I find Firefox more user friendly too...Originally Posted by F360
I don't know how to explain it, but I can feel the difference out. It just feels better when I'm using Firefox. Maybe it is the processor moving my computer and my desk.![]()
I know exactly what you mean!Originally Posted by Antdizzle
IE is (trying) to make a comeback and is modeling it's next version after Firefox. Time will tell if I'll switch back... right now I'm a Firefox user because of the tabs and built-in RSS reader (which could be much better).

Firefox = tabs
IE = no tabs
For me it's as simple as that. I often have mutliple web pages open at the same time... e.g. right now I have 4 open in FF, but sometimes I can have 10 or 20+ open at the same time. I find it's just easier and probably boosts productivity as well.
IE is 5 years behind, and I think even when IE7 comes out I'll still be sticking to FF as Microsoft won't come out with an IE8 for another 5 years or more.

Heh, I've had Firefox crash on me at least once a month since I started using it. I can't remember the last time IE crashed on me.Originally Posted by gemini_bwoy
Microsoft only let their products stagnate when they don't believe they have any competition. Trust me, they see Firefox as competition (particularly because of their cozy relationship with Google). They will evolve IE much quicker now to maintain their dominance. I'll consider switching back if they have a significantly better built-in RSS reader/aggregator. Otherwise I'll stay with Firefox.Originally Posted by nado
I use both but most of the time FireFox. I'm a web developer so I need to check the site to a different platform.

IE is making a definate comeback with their new releases i think im going to stay with them, i have firefox and i use it on frequent occasions but i think i.e. is easier to use i.e. delete cookies etc
Firefox. Why? Greasemonkey scripts, tabs, plug-ins (mainly gmail notifier), ease of use, and just because IE 7 beta 2 is the most inneficient, bug ridden, and poorly designed browser I've ever used.

firefox is the go atm. MSIE has many bugs, and poorly processes css... Its annoying when developing sites that you have to account for such errors. Go firefox, maybe windows vista will have a better MS browser? who knows
