    Finding silent investors...

I own a construction company in Illinois and been in business since April 2010 and am looking to expand. We are going to start doing insurance restoration work (roofing, siding, gutters that are damaged from hail and wind), also continuing regular work (additions, decks, remodels, etc), and want to try a couple "flip" homes to where buying a house that needs work cheap, fix it up and then sell, but with some of them turning into rentals. Looking for working capital and equipment and would like a silent investor. Would like to get around $100,000.00 since we will be going nationwide (where a hail storm hits) and staying local. Thank you, Tina Sweet of Sweet Exteriors and Construction

What are you speaking of, the process of the company or process of the funding? Thank you.

Finding the right investors can be as tricky as finding the perfect mate for you. It will help you a lot if you know what you are looking for. Finding an adviser you trust and respect is critical, experts say, so don't just sign on with the first person you meet. The question is how do we know the right investor for your business. The first investor that we can think of is our family. However, it is not really a good idea to involve your family member into your business. Money matter is a very serious subject and if you want to keep a good relationship with your family its better to keep them out of your business.

I am trying to figure out how a small company can go nationwide with this type of service and coming up blank. Now if you are looking for money to buy a property or two to rehab and flip/rent then that is another story.
