Finally Got My Motorola Droid! Anyone else here have one?

After a few months of waiting, I finally got a Moto Droid. So far so good. Only problem I'm having is getting the bubbles out of the screen protector. I also find the keyboard a little weird. You can't really feel the buttons, it's basically a piece of film over the buttons and its extremely hard to tell them apart from one another. Anyone want to recommend some cool apps?

Also, if anyone has some coding experience, I plan on creating a game and some other stuff for Androids in the next few months and I would love for you to join my team.

How do these phones compare to the Iphone as i am getting one or a Blackberry at the end of the month when my present contract expires. The latter one is better as i understand it for emails and that is the main reason i could well go for the BB.Any thoughts on what is better in the email performance side of these phones ??? Thanks

It's probably better than the Iphone. That's the consensus from the 2-3 people I know that have owned both. As for email, I'm not sure how BlackBerry does it, but with the Droid, you can put an icon on your main screen... and when you click it, it displays all of your emails. You can sort it by account, etc if you have multiple accounts linked to the phone. When you receive an email/text, it plays a "DROID" sound (i assume it can be changed, I just haven't bothered to look how to yet), a light blinks green showing that you have an unread message, and up on top of the phone where the time and battery levels are it displays an email icon. I'm not sure how well I described everything, but it's an amazing phone.

    Droid > Iphone > Storm2.

i sell them. and I have not had one complaint on the droid. People love the iphone too. not the storm2 so much haha.

Droid is bigger and a little more uncomfortable to hold than the iphone though.

That's the consensus here as well. No one I know that had the Storm really liked it.

I used my brother's Nokia N96...its utter crap.

It doesn't compare to other smartphones, their app store is very limited. Seems most apps are commercial too.

I can't wait to get my hands on Nexus One.

See I'm a huge android fan but I can't stand phones without keyboards... touchscreen keyboards absolutely piss me off.. although I don't like the keyboard on the droid much either b.c. you can't feel the buttons at all.. that's what I'm writting this message with now and its taking me forever b.c. I keep hitting the wrong buttons and I have to edit my text

I'm in telecommunications marketing... I liked the iphone and loved my g1... but i F***ING LOVE my droid. Period.

Once you learn just how much crap you can do on it... It's game over. Plus Google has the coolest apps (for free). Just sayin.

edit: And Jeremy, you're not the only ACN rep out there. Be less spammy dog.

If you're looking to customize your messaging get HandcentSMS and replace the default messaging app with it as your default... It's tight. You can change everything down to the notification bubble/light colors for different contacts. Plus it enables easy speech-to-text which chicks kinda dig it seems ha.
