yep pretty crazy how good they are considering people have been trying to take them down for years and no one can come even close... Just ask Mickelsson & Roddick :P

The only person that even comes close to Federer is Nadal. Federer is just such a great all-around player. He can play on any surface and he has an all-court game. The way he can hit his forehand like a more classical eastern forehand or get some extreme rotation and hit like a western forehand is just amazing.

I must be sounding too much like a tennis player, so I'll stop there. Bottom line is that Federer is great .

i tink the closest person now to federer is GonZalez of Chile!! Although he lost straight sets to Fed in the australian open...the scores were all so equal.

Gonzalez played very well but Federer is really good. I think if they have a rematch, Gonzalez can take him.

Never liked Sharapova... I was actually very glad that Williams defeated her (and so fast, too! The scores were disheartening for sharapova).

Federer's the man! He makes tennis look so easy. Even when you think he's gonna lose cause he looks like he's just taking the game easy, in the end he's the winner!

Federer is the best as of this time. . . . And for me. . . . Pete`s still there waiting for his time to return. . . . maybe affected by body injuries or bad conditions. . . . .. . . but still prayi`n Pete would beat Fed. in the near future. . .

Gonna have a good view of their tournaments. . .. . . Wish them all good sport athletes. . .

    At home. . . . gonna have security secured? then try this. . . . ..!!!

Federer seems to be the God of Tennis. I saw his latest match with roddick and no matter what roddick did, Federer had an answer ready to it and that too with amazing grace.
    I bow down to him.

Tiger Woods is the greatest athlete of this generation - period.

Tiger has won every major at least once.

Roger Federer is a great champion. However he is mediocre at best on clay.

    Nadal owns Federer on clay.

    No one owns Tiger Woods!

    Mediocre at best on clay?

Federer may not be able to beat Nadal on clay, but he is definitely more than mediocre. He got to the finals of the French last year and took the first set 6-1 from Nadal.

    Hi Dale,
That could be because golf has only one surface to play on while tennis has different types of surfaces.

And one more thing, Nadal seems to be a little down these days and even injury prone. Maybe Federer could just pull it off this time. Would love to see what happens in this years french open.
