    Experiences about mail forwarding services?

    Hey guys,

i am going to buy some stuff in USA and send them to Europe, exactly to Italy. The things i am going to buy are much cheaper than here in Italy. One of the things is a MP4 player (Cowon S9) which in Italy costs 250 euros 8 GB but in USA it costs 200 euros 16 GB! A super convenience i must admit.

So using Google i was searching about some "international shipping" & "mail forwarders" services and i found really many. Since i think i'll buy in USA just once a year, i choosed only the services without a setup fees. And these are (can't post links until i have 10 posts, sorry):

    1. US Global Mail
    2. Shipito

Please, help me at choosing one with your experience. Which one is the best in little words. Or do you prefer other services with a setup fee that are better than these ones (like BongoUS and others)?

Thanks a lot in advance guys.

Can you please suggest me another forum or website to post this? Please just 1 minute of your life...

I've been waiting 2 days for a reply but nothing... just a minute of your life...

If you are only purchasing once a year, why would there be set-up fees? Just contact a few international shipping companies and ask for a quote and go with the cheapest. What is the big deal?

The problem that most of them just accept a one time setup fee and then i can use the service.

I heard Italy's customs are super strict.

Though, I could be wrong. Good luck with everything!

    Exclamation Bongous

I dont know much about the ones you are asking about, but avoid this like a plague called BongoUS.com .I used them for about a year and during that time they lost some of my stuff, shipped stuff to me which was not mine, put wrong prices on my shipments resulting in me incurring extra import duties, were patronizing and rude..list goes on, until I said enough is enough and dumped them.Be warned, use them at your own risk.Sometimes there would be no items in my inbox even though the online tracking would show they had received the item 5 days back! They then put it in after I have queried them about it!Shocking! As for magazine subscriptions..I would not get all of them, some months none would turn up and sometimes got other peoples magazines with names on them!I'm sure those people would be told their magazine had not turned up and was lost in the post as well. One thing which really annoyed me about these people was the fact that they would claim to have sent stuff and when its not the box I receive they claim the items were lost by customs!
