    Enterpreneur + Business Cadetship?

I am finishing High School this year and there is a business cadetship program for the undergraduate. This cadetship allows cadets to work for a leading financial company, some investment companies like UBS, and BNP Paribas. There are also banks too.

I am wondering what you enterpreneurs think out there, whether a young enterpreneur mixes well with business cadetship? I think it would give me a great experience when working in a transnational corporation.

    What do you guys think?

I think it sounds like a fantastic opportunity, but it really depends on the details. Is that something you're interested in? How much does it cost? Would it get in the way of your other plans?
If there's really no down-side then it's a pretty simple answer. There's nothing wrong with gaining a better financial understanding and some good career experience in case your business ventures fall through and you have to get a job.

To run any business successfully, one needs to have sound financial knowlege. Money saved is money earned. At the same time money spent on PR may result in more business.

It helps you a lot in your business, if you know how to manage finance well. Grab all the opportunities to learn !

And I got an interview from the Business Cadetship Professionals, I am wondering if you entrepreneurs have any tips for interviews.

I am wondering if entrepreneurial spirit is a skill financial sector looks for. Do they seek it? Or they hate it? Will I get a competitive edge from the other applicants because I want to be an entrepreneur?

Anyone who has any experience in this area please reply me, thank you!

I'm not going to go into interview tips, there is enough of that out there on the internet.

In regards to your other question, it depends on the industry. In some financial sectors such as ibanking or private equity, entrepreneurship is more commonly accepted. If you are in other financial fields, there is little tolerance for risk. (note: although we saw banks didn't listen to this with the mortgage crises)

They also have a page to help with your resume. Even if they don't ask for a resume, bring one and give it to the interviewer.
