    Donald Trump's The Apprentice Failing?

    Hi all,

I am a regular viewer for Donald Trump's The Apprentice Show. What do you all think of the show? Do you think it has educational value for budding entrepreneurs like me? Just curious and trying to get fresh perspectives.

I share a strong passion for business and I feel that that show has piqued my interest for business. However, I feel that some of the tasks assigned to the teams are quite lame. It doesn't really relate much to real life entrepreneurship.

The show has no value and is no better than survivor or big brother. The tasks are lame and anyone in their right mind would not go threw all of that just to get a job. Past contestants have been owners of multi-million dollar companies so why they decided to go on a show to work for somebody else is beyond me.

I love the show. I hear it's going to change format next season and might be over as we know it though.

I enjoy critiquing the "actors" myself and wondering if I could have done things better.

    The Apprentice

I agree, many of the scenarios are campy and don't necessarily represent the skills the contestants would use day-to-day on the job.

Then again, it is reality tv. Watching someone sitting at a computer for hours, or sitting in negotiations doesn't really make for a compelling show. Not as much as watching people bicker for Donald Trump's attention

I did, however, get something out of the show... it can actually teach you about group dynamics and the influence of power on a team. The success of the teams on The Apprentice is usually more aligned with the team members' personalities than actual business acumen. Nonetheless, isn't it the same way many times in the real world?
