Exclamation Do You Have A Plan?

In my not so humble opinion, one of the main reasons that most people fail
to make decent money online is because they don't have a plan.

Let me ask you a question, right off the bat.

Do you have a business plan? What is it?

How you answer those two questions probably explains why you are or aren't successful.

Unfortunately, most people don't have a plan. Instead, they jump around from one opportunity to the next, hoping and praying that this will be the day that they finally hit that big money jackpot that they're seeking.

As many of you have undoubtably discovered by now, the "scatter shot" approach simply doesn't work. You have to have a plan, and you have to follow that plan relentlessly.

Yes, make adjustments where you must, and don't ever beat a dead horse. But always adhere to your plan.

Develop a clear plan, and focus on building your business day after day after day.

Don't become discouraged and lose discipline when things aren't going well, by abandoning your game plan and jumping from one thing to the next. You'll never be successful that way.

Right now, today, write down what it is you want to do and how you want to do it. Then go after it with focus and determination. Put it down on paper, and when you find yourself veering off-course refer back to what you've written down.

Don't ever start a business on a whim or without any forethought or planning. That's a recipe for failure.

And don't start a business, then after a month or two throw up your hands and say it doesn't work.

That's not what winners do. That's what losers do.

You need to have the focus and determination to keep going when things aren't going well. That's what separates the winners from the losers.

It's difficult I know, but it's worth it. And if you've done your research, believe and have faith in what you're doing and execute your plan with the tenacity of a pit bull.

In closing, plan your work and work your plan. You can do it. I know you can!

You've made some great points Dale. It's really hard to get going and keep going in the current economy. If people can just get over that hump (like the one you have to get over when you first start your early morning run....Euk!) they would see the rest starts to come together and it becomes all down hill. Great tips!

If there is no opportunity, there can be no plan.

Keep an eye on my blog as I will be posting a link to a 31 page template business plan. No, it's not prewritten, it has sections and gives you an overview of what to put there. Great post!

Hey Dale, it easier said that done.

I used to remember when I started even with a plan and I followed it strictly...it didn't work..why because its was never meant to be...

There are times you cannot just follow a plan. I would not call it a plan. It should be a guide..Until you see that guide clearly then you can really draw some proper plans. Till then keep exploring...

What others do may not be for you. So don't just blindly follow..

    Thanks for your feedback.

While I happen to disagree with your particular assessment of guide vs. plan, you're certainly entitled to your opinion.

Good post Dale. Too many people think making money online is a farce, or give up too easily because they believed in the hype of "get rich quick" schemes that end up not working.

I've been trying to make money online for 2 years, and finally now hitting some success, and it was not by luck or chance. Writing goals is a huge part of success. You can't succeed in anything without writing down goals and then making a plan of action to reach them.

I think with the economy situation, a lot of people will be looking to the Internet for income (or extra income), and it's really pertinent to realize that it's like any other business.
