Exclamation Do You Believe In Luck?

Today is Friday the 13th...you know "unlucky" Friday the 13th.

Which begs the question...do you believe in luck - either good or bad?

    Please explain.

I honestly, perpetually, believe in heavenly blessings. I don't really care what day it is, because I am blessed each day, and i'm eternally thankful for that.

I don't believe that a certain day is bad such as July 13th or what ever. But I believe in luck. To me luck is only something that boost our performance and results. Of course you must prepare for the luck, if not it can't help you to boost anything. By the way, it has nothing to boost if you don't prepare anything, right?

I believe in luck, and I believe that people usually generate their own luckyness or unluckyness. If those are even words...

I believe: If you do something good, your rewarded. If you do something bad, you get shitted on. And every time you do something good, something bad has to happen. Nothing really too bad, just everyday bad stuff.

I do not believe in luck because usually things happen because of the actions one takes. If you think positive and do positive things Some how positive things will happen to you. If you do not pay your bills or you do not work on self improvement then chances our bad things will happen.

I just feel that Friday the 13th is just stigmatised. Each day is a good day if we perceive it to be so. When everything happens our way, we say the day has been good, or that, luck has favoured us. But what needs to be stressed over here is that, even on the supposed unlucky day, we should tell our hearts that we are being taught to be better and it is a lesson given by God to make us a better individual. I personally believe in this philosophy and I live by this.

Well the history of Friday the 13th was because on, "On October 13, 1307, a day so infamous that Friday the 13th would become a synonym for ill fortune, officers of King Philip IV of France carried out mass arrests in a well-coordinated dawn raid that left several thousand Templars — knights, sergeants, priests, and serving brethren — in chains, charged with heresy, blasphemy, various obscenities, and homosexual practices. None of these charges were ever proven, even in France — and the Order was found innocent elsewhere — but in the seven years following the arrests, hundreds of Templars suffered excruciating tortures intended to force 'confessions,' and more than a hundred died under torture or were executed by burning at the stake."

Well said. I missed this thread last Friday but I can't say if I've been lucky or not. But it's one of the best days of the week. We get to rest and spend a weekend at some place.
