Do links in signatures on YE show as backlinks?

If I put a link in my signature, does it show as backlinks in Google or Yahoo?

I know Google shows them, but to your point, I do not know if they are counted for anything.

I've run backlink checks on some sites and I've seen YE backlinks come up on Yahoo but not on Google.

Yeah same as above, at least what I have heard from most people on here.

I agree, Yahoo yes, google no.

Google doesn't even count the banners we have on the homepages of the forums we sponsor.
