    Definition of an ENTREPRENUER

    1. Someone that make's money ON THEIR OWN.

On their own, meaning ..............You do not work for someone else.

An ENTREPENUER is someone who takes an idea......( original or recycled )...manages it...and accepts the financial gains or losses.

These garbage posts of " Can Entreprenuership be taught".... NO IT CANT.

2 types of people in this world.

    1. People who are slaves and work a 9- 5
    2. people who are self confident and decide to take charge of their own lives.

9 out of 10 times, people already have the tools it takes to be an entreprenuer .....but are too blind to see it. And if your blind and you cant see it, your out the game.

Majority of you sit here and make posts , giving the illusion of bragging of your success....yet show no proof......Then your true colors are shown a few days, or weeks later by you making a post that proves your nothing but a bottom feeder, A FRAUD.

Your seeking fame, acceptance, attention off this board by trying to mentor a willing naive person who is trying to make their own income WITHOUT having to be a slave to the rat race.

Its time to put up or shut up.

Your an entreprenuer? Then tell these people exactly how ....

    Tell them how you started.
Tell them what you exactly did.
Tell them exactly what risk you took

TELL THEM EXACTLY WHAT YOUR PROFITS ARE.

Scott - I was about to argue that point too - but i thought because the thread wasnt for that purpose, I wouldn't bother. But you started it, so hear I go

Of course Entrepreneurship can be taught. An entrepreneur is the venture initiator, risk bearer and leader. All these can be taught - although everybodies capabilities in each field differ. Or going back to the oldest defenition of a entrepreneur - a person who buys at a certain price and sells at an uncertain price - this can also be taught (or does that even need teaching? Research is all thats needed)

Entrepreneur can ultimately mean anything you want to believe it does. Im not going to sit and argue here whether it can be taught or not. If you want to feel special like you where a born entrepreneur then go for it, if it gives you inspiration then why not.

take a chill pill cuz. you sound deranged.

you are difficult to have a conversation with. your flaw is in assuming the correctness of your assumptions when you have a less than a sophisticated understanding of what you're talking about.

Normally, I'd start thundering down on posts like this.. but...I've spoken to Yucky smurf, and he's actually a guy who does it on his own. He has tools, drives, and a nice nickname. (He wants a yacht by the way) He has a particular style of achieving his means(he knows what this means.. lol), and I give him lotta respect for doing it on his own.

Oh my oh my... on my entrepreneur experience...

It starts all the way back from high school... I've raised total of a $5 mil in investment capital for my companies, in seed money, and 1st round. I put my school on "hold", packed my bags and left for california. To make this really short, 1st round financing was the farthest I've gone. At one point our sale was reaching toward $2 million a year. I went belly up.. but that's for another post. Writing business plan, VC meetings, mucho mucho meetings with lawyers, hiring executives from Fortune 100, angel meetings... (lotta lessons learned. it'd be too long to explain everything. hm.. i smell blog). I read some of people's post on this forum who doesn't really appear to understand how to approach VC's and investors. I don't blame them, and I would be happy to answer any of your questions regarding your plan to receive investment capital.

That's when I was @ highschool, and now (just outta college)I am online marketing dude for online gaming sites. Yes, yes, this was my plan B (hey, at least I had a plan B) I've recently been hired. Started as an intern, now a full time employee and learning more as I go. Sure, I am still working for someone, but learning how to market stuffs especially online.. and being paid to do it, is a great experience for me that I know I can take to my future. If you are going to work for somebody, might as well work for somebody that you can really learn from. At least I admit it

Can entrepreneurism be taught? I believe so... but this is the way I see it. You can help unconscious winner to be a real winner, but you can't transform a loser minded person to a winner. I hope I am clear enough.

But please allow me to part with you at least with what I've learned through my experience...

Entrepreneurism is not just about knowing what to do with your business and etc. A guy who owns 7 and 11 has a business.. but is he an entrepreneur? It's not about just making MONEY.

To classify yourself in an entrepreneur level, you need to have a vision. This is part of what VCs will also look inside you when they decide ultimately whether they will invest with you or not. (Vision = a dream to change the world in a way you want it to be) and taking a step to do something about it. This usually translates into creating value for other people. This then translates to making money naturally.

Ask yourself questions in these order...
    1. What about the current world do you want to change?
    2. What value do you wish to impose upon the world in the process?
    3. What skills/technics do you have to allow you to get there?
    4. Do you have someone who dreams of samething?

I can go for hours... but this is getting long. lol. Good luck e1.

Maybe if i believe really hard, then the tooth fairy dresses up in stelleto's and a bellyshirt.

Entreprenuership , if TAUGHT TO YOU, IS NOT ENTREPRENUERSHIP!

The problem with people today is they take a word, spin it to fit their own personal meaning.

BTW, the articles on your blog ARE NOT YOURS.

One article is a straight copy and paste from entreprenuer.com

also: An Entreprenuer CAN NOT ULTIMATELY MEAN ANYTHING YOU WANT.

If entrepreneurship can't be taught then there would be no entrepreneures, as it is not a basic instict. Reading up on forums such as this is education just not in the formal sense.

U can be taught the ways to be an entrepreneur. I believe so as well. I just don't believe u can be made to become an entrepreneur.

That's where the issue stands I believe. I think Yucky believes that, as well as those who support that saying as well....BUT they confuse "being taught" versus "making". And when I say "make" I dont mean "force. When I say "make" I mean...I mean a program that u can be apart of that guides u into becoming and being an entrepreneur. Such as being taught to be an engineer.

In that definition of "make"...no one can be "made" an entrepreneur because many people make different choices, and fall into different categories of careers. Especially since the risks are more obviously HIGH as entrepreneurs cuz u are enduring all the risks and expenses....versus well....being an employee of a business created by someone else's entrepreneurial venture that turned into..well...the institution that enforces dreaded "employment" or slavery.

So...I guess, I would say "NO ONE CAN BE MADE ENTREPRENEURS"....but be people can be taught what is and how to be an entreprenur...cuz thats a start.
