I’m trying to figure out who buys a cocktail/bartending book. I know that many sell each year but I can’t figure out who is buying them.
Does a cocktail book that has a large variety of soda-pop cocktails sound appealing to anyone?

There are many "bar" school that require a text book to get their "liscense"
Asking forum members if your idea sounds appealing is not the way to do proper research for a business idea - especially since they're not your target audience to begin with.
Identify and understand who and what your target audience is, and then promote the living daylights out of them!

would i buy a book that had mixed drinks with soda... no... becasue i dont like alcohol and soda together. now book that just has general mixed drinks yes but there are tons. make a sort of for dummies type book thats real easy to use.. and i will buy it!
I own one. I went to bartending school, then after I got my certificate, I bought the book just to keep as a referance for drinks. It's fun to have as there are many drinks to make and try. It's good when you've got ppl over as well.
I have "The Cocktail Handbook" by Maria Costantino.
1 cocktail per page, colour picture with every drink. Its very useful.
There are many books just like this one, so making your own woudn't yield a lot of sales, however if you can make it more appealing than others then obviously you've got a hit.
