Censorship vs. SPAM

Now and then I post a reply to a thread or start a new thread on here, but some of my postings on keep getting deleted by the Moderator of this forum.

Today, I started a new thread titled "Business and Religion", referring to a news article written about Pope Benedict's reference to other churches not being Christians. Now, was this a bad thread? Is religion reference not permitted on this forum?

If so, why letting all the SPAM flood this forum then? I mean, there's too much SPAM on here now more than ever, and no matter how we report them as SPAM, they don't get deleted right away.

My question is, why are you censoring my postings? I don't use any bad language or bad words toward any user on here, but now and then I get censored, why?

I bet you, this thread will be deleted immediately as well, just for pointing out these facts. Go ahead delete it.

Akula, Versas, and all other users, what do you all think? Do you get censored too on this forum or is it just me?

There's a religion section on RAD Reality, I'm sure they would welcome the article.

I think I might have had 1 post removed but it was from me flaming a guy that posted some spam or some dodgy business.

Frankly I didn't even know there was a moderator on here, theres so much spam and the moderator has never made a single post as far as I know.

I think I like it here, because i know that almost everyone who comes on here are mostly entrepreneurs. I don't wanna go elsewhere, but the fact that I get censored for my postings and replies, I don't understand it, since I don't curse anybody out or being literally rude to anyone on here.

Thanks for your post.
I am not sure about the specific post that you are referring to but we are trying to CLEAN up the site to ensure we eliminate spam. We are open to all posts that are applicable to this forum and I know you have posted some great topics. We are integrating a new hack to eliminate MOST of the spam that you see here.

Yes, we have MODS, including myself and I personally delete 15-25 SPAM threads per day and I know that some of our other mods are REALLY helping the spam situation as well. I would like to thank our mods for all they are doing to try and keep YE spam free.

This week, you will start seeing some updates to YE that will not only include hundreds of pages of articles but also a few other helpful things for our members.

Please feel free to PM me as often as possible if you find anyone abusing the site for spam etc. You should notice a lot less spam by the weeks end.

And RadReality: please curb your unnecessary name dropping of your site as I know you have been posting them quite a bit. We will be tightening up this forum to ensure we follow our forum policies.

What do I do differently than anyone else on here? I have never said anything bad about ye or tried to get people to stop using it. I have only helped other people and informed them of various resources to use, some of them I own, some of them I don't. Its the same as everyone else on here. If it wasn't for that, then there wouldn't be anyone on here that knows anything; you know that.

Like I mentioned, we are working to better the YE forum and grow the site. Its unfair to our paying advertisers when people try and abuse our site for promoting their own. I am sure you can appreciate that, being a fellow entrepreneur. This site has been built for all of us to help each other grow our businesses and now we are trying to focus on following the member guidelines and policies to ensure YoungEntrepreneur.com continues to expand and offer more to all of our members.

I think what BizGuy is trying to say that, for instance if you owned a coffee shop and someone entered and said that if anyone was interested in a place that served sandwiches instead of coffee for when they get hungry, they have the best intentions, as they do not wish to take away business but to help people with their hunger issues after drinking your coffee. However, regardless, they have come into your shop advertising another business and best intentions or not it is likely to at least put a minor effect on your customer rate and therefore, respectfully you would not want them advertising.

I could probably have come up with a much better example then that but I am tired.

Another note:

Since your sig and name is basically an advertisement for your site they probably feel that is efficient.
