    Car deals....

    Hi I need some input on where I can get a good deal on a car.

    I am looking for a car becuse my mom's car alternator blew, gave up, we will buy another alternator, but need a car for me and we are thinking to buy one for my mom, becuse her car is old, it's a 99 carlo.

    I want to see what you guy's know if any good prices or any-way to lower some prices of the cars??

    I have been looking around my area for cars and are expensive, and I am still looking, tought to be a good idea to ask on here, since alot of people here are invlove with financial career area well at least some are.

    any advice??

    new cars... just trying to find out how I could find a price close to what the dealers pay?? or is that not possible???

    Try to find a smaller dealership, and ask if they can pick a car for you at an auction and you pay them for their services plus some extra for the car.

    Government auctions are best, as someone said above. The cars are in good shape, usually registered and close to new. I believe state governments in Australia change out their car pools every few years.

    Negotiations can drop a price, but close to what a dealer pays and new is hard. Of course they wont take the loss on the money like that esp when they get nothing out of it but a few dollars here or there. Try to find a car that will be off the lot soon, like an 07... and go from there

    ive always found good deals on Autotrader.com but that is just my opinion
