My address at 530 Adelaide St. West, Unit 6133 in Toronto is actually a mailbox I rented at the Apple Storage that is there. I rented with them for two reasons... 1. I liked the address, and 2. their rates are lower than Canada Post. Apple costs about $10.40/month (IIRC), whereas Canada Post charges about $14/month.

I felt it was better for my online ventures to have a rented mailbox instead of using my home address (better for peace of mind...) as I have many domains, etc. registered and I don't really want some nutjob to come to my house.

Anyways, if you do get one, all you need is some photo ID (i.e. driver's license, etc.) and some way to pay. All in all, I rented for an initial 6 months and it costed me (goes to review credit card statement just to make sure...) $97.46 (includes cost of key deposits, etc.). You get two keys with the mailbox and a 24-hour access code. Be sure to tell them that Matt Dean from mailbox 6133 sent you...

I highly recommend them as the service was excellent. Finding a place that did mailbox rentals in downtown T.O. was pretty difficult. I checked with some Canada Posts in the area and the one in Commerce Court said they only rent to tenants in the same building as them, even though it's listed on the C.P. website that they rent mailboxes.

Thanks for the info Mat.. Yea i've been looking for a virtual office for mailing purposes. I had no clue apple storage had mailing addresses on their own. Adelaide street definitely is a nice locaton. Im going to look into it and tell them that you sent me. Thanks.
