Can you lie in a rec letter?

Can you write them yourself and give them in?

    lol

    and can you lie?

like on a resume you can lie but you must be able to actualy do the stuff.

is it the same as a rec letter?

Who wants a recommendation letter? An internship or some other pretentious thing?

I honestly never put much stock into them, since everyone that I've been involved with has been written by someone I either barely knew or was a teacher that wanted their students to do well. I think all they really prove is that you haven't alienated and pissed off everyone you've ever met in a position of authority and can form some kind of meaningful professional relationship...
