If you're an entrepreneur, unless you're in biotech or other pure sciences, the shortcut strategy to remember is: forget patents, they lead to ruin, put money in marketing.

This is not Danny making stuff up. This conclusion is endorsed by everybody. You will find it impossible to find an investor or a sucessful entrepreneur who would recommend something to the contrary.

When I was in college, my team and made a business proposal for "coffee donut" for our business research class. Our target market is the "yuppy" or the young urban professional. We made the prosposal last April 2005. We didn't get a very high grade for our proposal though.
