What interests you? What are your passions?
Before you start thinking about what kind of business you want. I'd encourage you to start dreaming big. How do you want to live?
Big house, nice car? Look once you know how you want to live, then all you got to do is figure out how to reach it.
Most people dream small. Dream big, and then game plan how to reach your dreams.

Matt -
It is always a good idea to start with something that you know about and have a passion for. Like Mike said...you need to figure out what you are interested in. But, before you start thinking about the money, you need to find what you REALLY enjoy doing. Then, you can take that and think of some things that are related to that. Think of something that hasn't been done before.
Start small, but plan big! Nothing happens over night, so you have to stick with it!

Of course, it all depends on what you want to do. I assume you want something online and there are many opportunities out there. The main business that I run and have been very successful at is a dropshipping business where I market and sell items on the Internet and get my supplier to ship them to my customers.
They charge me a reseller (wholesale) price and then I raise the price to a reseller price and then keep the difference - profit. Check out my website if you want to discuss it more and learn how it works.

I would start something local, and preferably offline. That's easiest and best way to start as an entrepreneur.

Hey Matt,
Good to see a fellow Brisbane-nite.
As a consultant I have taken many people through the,
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & RELATIONSHIP process.
We take for granted what we know and we can use it in
a business avenue. We think that because we know how
to do a certain task, that everyone knows how to do that task.
Take a pad and pen and write these 3 headings and over a course
of a week, make your list and see how they relate to each other.
This will help you discover your strenghts,
All the best,
Dale

Hey Ryan,
Are you planning on going to college? Just curious.
Also how come you haven't updated your blog?

What is your passion?
Matt,
There are so many opportunities out there for anyone who wants a business. For example, I get paid to show people how to eat, drink, and snack in a healthy way. Watch this online movie, it only takes five minutes.
