    Hi there,

    Thanks
    Nick

Try incorporate your business within your passion so find your passion and then try build a business around it.

I agree with you. If you incorporate your passion with your business, i am sure you will get great success in your business.

If you're having trouble identifying your passion. Think to yourself if you want this business to be product or service based. That might help you get the ball rolling.

You need to develop a strong USP (Unique Selling Position) and identify your passion. Just like the above have stated.

Crazy enough... my passion turned out to be business

If you would like to discuss some plans and possible USP's (unique Selling Positions_ I would be willing to set aside some time next week to discuss with you your ideas and current goals and aspirations for the year. See if we can't spiral them into a full in depth business plan for you.

We would need to discuss the market, market value, target audience ect.

Send me a PM if you would like to discuss a business plan further.

Another thing to think about when identifying your passion is to try to pinpoint something you could do all day without getting bored or frustrated. Even if that's eat sushi, play video games, or knit socks, there's 99% of the time going to be a way to make money out of it.

Once you have that narrowed down, I recommend doing your market research and finding a niche. But that's getting ahead of ourselves if you don't have your business idea yet. So good luck identifying your passion!

    Business Ideas

    Nick,

Just saw your post, as I was just about to post the same thing. I am in a very similar position. I want to set up my own business and have a solid couple of successful years in Sales and Marketing IT Software solutions and capital but no business ideas - which kind of falls flat on its face!

Was wondering if you fancy having a chat sometime to discuss this and if you are interested in brainstorming ideas together?
Let me know if this is something of interest.

    Best Regards,
    Rob

Interest is the best teacher, even in business.

Faith is first, Methods is second, then Tools!

Start a blog... learn online advertising and content development. Blog about random things to see if you can keep up with the responsibility. You really can learn most of the basics about online business with a basic wordpress blog. While you are teaching yourself these basics beep your eyes and ears open to opportunities and one will come along.

passion + demand + good idea = successful business.

passion is great, love what you do, not only will it be fun but you'll find yourself working harder to acheive your goals.

Demand is nice because it helps you get off your feet and gives you more oppurtunities to move your product.

Good idea/USP. it's 2010, not 1850. Coming up with a USP is essential especially in a world where good ideas are hard to come by.
