Borrow - need alternative words

I tried looking up the word 'borrow' on Thesaurus.com only to find that it wasn't a listed word (not sure why). Anyway, I'd really appreciate it if you all could post your most creative "synonyms" (I'm using that very loosely) for the word 'borrow'.

Synonym.com has some but I don't think they're what you're looking for... get, acquire, accept, adopt, take... not even close

Thanks for your help. I don't understand why thesaurus.com and synonym.com are having such difficulty with what seems to me to be a very common word that should have quite a few synonyms. Of course, not being able to think of many myself I guess should tell me that maybe it isn't so easy to think of them.
