Books

Hey, I was wondering if you'd all share your top 5 biz books with everyone.. This would help me in deciding which books to buy without wasting my money I could always go to a library but I'd prefer to own

I was particularly looking for books focusing on marketing, advertising, web business, financing and incorporating/ business law.

Cheers,

Sam White

These are mainly ad books, but can be used for just about any form of creative:

1. How to Get Ideas
2. Hey, Whipple Squeeze This
3. Cutting Edge Advertising
4. All Marketers Are Liars
5. Creative Leaps

I've mentioned the first book in several other threads. It's the only book you ever need to own for creativity. Hey Whipple is the bible for young ad/marketing folk. Cutting Edge is another must have that bitch slaps commonality. And of course, everybody loves Seth (this book's his best yet). And Creative Leaps is a great read that gives us a look at marketing/advertising from Australasia.

1. Losing My Virginity - Richard Branson (Billionaire Entrepreneur)
THis is basically a biography of Richard Branson and his business ideas/style

2. Marketing without Advertising. - By Michael Phillips & Salli Rasberry
If you have a low budget in marketing, this book shows you how to use publicity and word to mouth to market your business.

3. Rich Dad, Poor Dad, Robert Kiosaki
My first business book that really inspire me to be an entrepreneur.

4. How to get rich - By Donald Trump (if you are into real estate)
I don't really like his management style, but there are some good points in the book.

Only 4 books but hope it helps
