Question Book Recommendations?

I am looking for any suggestions on any solid entrepreneur books. I have read much of the success stories of Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad, Poor Dad). Actually I have read most of his released books, and have received a great deal of knowledge. Aside from the success library, I have read E-Myth By Michael Gerber. This is an interesting book explaining the maturity of a company working towards a goal of being a franchise.
I am currenty reading The Best Business Stories of the Year 2004 Edition Edited By Andrew Leckey & John C. Bogle.
I am only 47 pages into this book, though the stories are quite interesting. The opener of the book is none the less, binge spender L. Dennis Lebowski, former CEO of Tyco. Infamous for borrowing millions from Tyco under an "employee relocation loan". And the irony is that he was CEO at the time. Though he has subpoenaed for two paintings that he purchased without paying sales taxes, etc etc.
It is quite funny the amount of greed one can acquire. This is probably the leading cause why many multi-million dollar corporations are filling for bankcrupy protection, because of fraud charges and etc. Especially during this era of white-collared crime.
Anyways, sorry for my ramblings, I just jump from topic to topic. So if anyone has an interesting read to recommend please do so. Thanks for your time.

Good list. I should check if my local libraries carry some of the books. Hope they carry those.

Smile Re: Book Recommendations?

I've read many self improvement/ entrepreneur books. Two great books are "The One Minute Millionaire" by Mark Victor Hansen & Robert G. Allen as well as "Focal Point" by Brian Tracy. Hope that helps.

here are some books i just finished reading and were pretty helpful.

good to great

built to last

these books were really great and have some good insight. although they are vague as to the details, but defintieyl motivated me to think big and make sure i have the right people on the bus.

anyone else have books they read and want to mention?

also, a great site to check out is bookcrossing.com
they have an interesting concept, wehre you release your books and its tracked via a code. i'm thinking of using this as an advertising vehicle for my company, since i have tons of old books and inside the cover i would put an offer, either handwritten or via a sticker. this way it shows that you care to share your books as well as free marketing.

The old classic 7 Habits of Highly Effective People - Stephen Covey.

Also, Dale Carnegie - How to Win Friends and Influence People.

Quite simply, following the ideas in these two books are the best things that one can do in a business. As classics of human effectiveness, they stand in a league of their own.

I would also recommend Built to Last and Good to Great. They provide some good reasons for focusing your business.
