en·tre·pre·neur –noun Entrepreneur, translated from its French roots, means "one who undertakes." The term Entrepreneur is used to refer to anyone who undertakes the organization and management of an enterprise involving independence and risk as well as the opportunity for profit.
I just started a blog to show the progress of my website, but have no blogging experience.
Does anyone have any good tips or tricks to get a blog really nice and popular?
Should posts be professional looking or look like your just talking to a friend?
How long should a post roughly be?
etc,etc
just general blogging tips please
Hi Jake,
I'm including some resources from other credible bloggers who either make money online primarily from blogging and/or from individuals who blog about 'blogging'.
Unique content is king. By unique content im talking about blogging on subjects that are rare and hard to find. Unique content does not mean writing it yourself. Blogging about how to make little neat electronic devices in your home will draw more organic traffic than a blog about how to make money.
Also using the Wordpress subdomain is amateurish and shows you dont take your blog too serious. Get your own domain and hosting if you want the big hits. Using the Wordpress subdomain and hosting is like renting an apartment. If that complex gets sold, your domain is going to be homless and all your work and posts down the drain.
im purposly not buying my own domain and hosting just for my blog as its not serious yet its only something i can show people when they ask how the sites coming along and such.
When the sites fully done we will have a 'proper' blog on, but for now im renting
Entrecard doesn't work with a free wordpress blog. My advice is to keep posting and use keywords that people will find the content with. Have fun with it, especially since you are renting, and post often as that will help with generic traffic.
