Ok, lets see how many of you can follow me this road.
I'm watching Wallace and Gromit, a claymation production out of England, with my 3 year old son, and I am noticing something about these shows. They are immersed in movement and detail. Many of the scenes have many things going on at once, and if your not using a green scene or a computer, that means that every movement needs to be coordinated so the end result looks right.
The amount of planning and preparation that goes into shooting a show like this is amazing.
So how does this apply to business?
There are other threads that discuss planning and it's importance, but I've seen few discuss the detail that needs to go into that plan. Having a mission statement and a slogan and whatever else is not a plan. If you haven't taken the time to account for all known expenses and considered a buffer for unexpected costs, as well as outlined specifically what your business does for people (why they "want" to use your business) then you may not be experiencing the success your business is capable of.
Anyway, same point, just said differently.
