Alright I'll soon be starting my senior year of high school and I am starting to apply to college. I've been thinking that my online entrepreneurial background could help my chances of getting in if I let schools know about it in my application.
What I'm basically telling them is that when I was 15 I had a job but couldn't keep it and play travel ice hockey (in FL) and go to school all at the same time. So I got creative and took my money from work and started an online jersey business buying and reselling jerseys. I did this for the next two years and made good money, good enough that I could afford to play hockey and not have to work. Then I am telling them how I lost suppliers and no longer have the option to sell jerseys so I am telling them about my current projects (affiliate marketing and other possible projects).
I think this sets me apart from a lot of applicants. Not only was I at the rink 3 times a week which is an hour away and out of state for games once a month but I also kept solid grades and had my first online business at age 15 and I am still sticking to it making money online!
I know my story isn't uncommon for these forums but do you think admissions officers might be a little impressed?

I help a dozen high school seniors write college essays every year and work with admissions officials on college entrance workshops.
