    I ship books and shoes to Africa each month... The 'risk' associated with doing so is not significantly different then any other country. I would put it at moderate based on what type of local partnerships you are working with. I wouldn't go shipping your product to someone you met off the internet or anything like that.

    I plan on going to Rwanda in may. What possible ventures should i be looking for? Anyone know a businessperson in Rwanda, I would love to talk to them and just understand the culture and in particular micro loans.

    Higher/high risk and huge profit margins are the two sides. But I want to do lower risk.

    Unfortunately not everything turns out like you want it to. I was unable to make my trip to africa like i had planned. I do have a friend though who just made a very nice chunk of change selling soccer jerseys during the world cup. he went to africa on a mission trip and brought back a whole suitcase with jerseys. he sold them and made a very nice profit. as far as more long term businesses i really do not know.
