Real simple. If...I sell hot dogs on one side of the street. I love meeting people, getting to know their names; my customers. I try and refine my recipes of condiments to make people happy for a minute. When I ask how is it they smile and say GOOD! I make sure the customers get a good decent, fresh roll. I love my business I LOVE WHAT I DO. I have PASSION; pleasing the customer, giving them a fair sale and the best food I am capable of. I just want to give fair value and a smile with each sale.

You sell hot dogs across the street. You give a damn about no one...just let's say for instance, just taking their money. It will take 2 minutes for the customer to see right through you. Because of only caring about the money you will inevitably give the cheapest rolls and condiments and less of it because only caring about money greed will slowly take you over; it is human nature. Your customer service will suck and your quality control will be for shit.

Who will sell more hot dogs? Me or you? Whether it's hot dogs or airplanes, makes no difference. As people see my honest and worthy intent trying my best to please; do you think they will care if my hot dog is a little more expensive?

Dave Thomas built the empire of Wendy's offering the freshest vegetables possible because he just cared about the customer and the quality he offered. Rumour is Dave only went to 6th grade and left school to help the family on the farm. When asked his best business advice Dave simply said "Just be nice to people" Good advice? Sam Walton built his Wal-Mart empile on A SMILE!!!!!!! Just all....all smile no matter what; customer and employee and all wear the smile buttons to remind.

I've been in different businesses for 26 years. This invention will be the biggest of my life. I ALONE...NO HELP...in one year...with not more than $500 for advertising have customers from Japan, South Africa, New Zealand, Turkey, Israel, Europe, Canada and every single U.S. state including Alaska, Hawaii and Peurto Rico

I have sold (I do all sales and marketing) to every division of military including the Coast Guard. Piles of EMS, FD's including FDNY and specialized rescue. Companies like Boeing, Kohler, Winnebago, Ford, Proctor and Gamble. I have sold to the United States Center of Disease Control. Many handicapped, seniors and even housewives to move potted plants etc.

I have also sold the concept and venture to atleast 10 magazines and 5 newspapers to do stories on me and the product. TV appearances have been considered atleast 5 times and supposed to be coming up as well as many more magazine editorials including Entrepreneur Magazine.

Moreover, I just had two offers in the past week for atleast 1 million in financing for my next invention. Did I not sell myself to acquire that?

I can see your passion all over your website. Your love of the sport. This is what I mean. Maybe some don't understand what I am saying. during the day we are supposed to "play for the love of the game" This attitude will make us our best.

Ron, GREAT post. I had a PMS experience with Cole as well. When I first started here I had a question regarding, ah heck I have no idea anymore, but anyway...he posted an answer, and at that time I was at work, at a few meetings, and then out for a family function. I noticed when I came back that he removed his answer and the edit reason was for something like "I am not wasting my time giving advice if no one appreciates it".

I PM'ed him to apologize, because at first my impression was that this must be a site of very busy YEs that do not want to waste their time if people don't give back, and also since I was new I thought he might have thought I was simply lurking.

Well now I understand. I have been in touch with people on this site 1million times smarter, encouraging, sincere, and helpful than that ingrate and whiner. People on here CARE, they foster ideas, instead of taking an opportunity to tell a new guy that his question was stupid, or tell a senior guy that he "lives on this place" simply because he has a lot of posts, and enjoys being here.
