Any bookworms out there?

Greetings fellow earthlings!
This is my first post so I just want everyone to know that my ship is waiting for me and I am ready for a ride to success...in my dreams Seriously, has anyone here been transformed just by reading a book? Well, I love to read about success stories and how young individuals come up with great products or services. Recently, I picked up a copy of Secrets of the Young and Successful by Jennifer Kushell and Scott M. Kaufman. I found it motivational and quite fun to read...OK now discuss amongst yourselves!
Eventually I will post more messages but not only about books.

Jennifer's books are, and Steve will agree with me here, quite elementry. Not to be used as a guide to success, but rather inspirational.

I haven't read her second book that you're talking about, but I've read her first one and I find it a very uplifting read. Anytime that i get discouraged I usually pick it up and read a few pages and it'll get me back on track.

How is her second book laid out? What are some things it discusses? I am thinking about buying it.

By the way, welcome!

Hi Eric,
I agree with you that these books are only meant to be inspirational. A real business should be based on a good business plan and professional help. Nonetheless, it's comforting to pick up a book which helps us identify with others on the same journey. In my case, I was hooked by the first words dedicating this book "To all those who are different - the overachievers, the misunderstood, the underappreciated, the diamonds in the rough. This book is for you." Even though it sounds like the author has discovered a niche for writing books and has hooked me in the process, it remains a good book and some topics covered have given me more to think about. By all means, there are many other books worth reading. Check out these chapters;
5-Master your universe
6-Take a taste(tm)
10-The power of people
11-The house on the hill
My personal experiences were reflected in chapter 5.
I also enjoyed the part about "six degrees of separation".
