Another Die Hard & Another Rambo

Rambo IV is an upcoming film, starring Sylvester Stallone, slated for release in May 2007. It is currently in pre-production. Rambo IV is the sequel to Rambo III. Rambo IV is not yet thought to be the final title. Rumored titles for the various scripts have been: Rambo IV, Rambo IV: Holy War, Rambo IV: End of Peace, and most recently, Rambo Returns.

The most current news (July 2006) for the movie plot, according to Entertainment Weekly [1]: John Rambo is working at monastery in Bangkok salvaging old PT boats and tanks for scrap metal. When some suppliers go missing in Burma a relative of one of the missionaries begs Rambo to go look for them. Rambo then heads off with a couple of young guns to find them.

Note: The Internet Movie Database shows another plot for the movie [2]. Also note that the roles of Rambo's wife and daughter are cast. Thus supporting the plot involving Rambo's daughter being kidnapped.

LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD

Live Free or Die Hard or 'Live Free/Die Hard' is the title of the fourth installment in the popular Die Hard series. It will star veteran actor Bruce Willis as John McClane, the protagonist of the first three films. The film will take place some 18 years after the first film, and will see McClane coming out of retirement to face a gang of Internet terrorists.

The story is based on a pitch by Doug Richardson, screenwriter on Die Hard 2: Die Harder, who told Willis his idea while working with the actor on Hostage. Initially in a 2005 interview with Willis in Empire magazine, the film was to be called "Die Hard 4.0" as it revolves around computers. Although he said that, IGN.com later reported that the film was to be called "Die Hard: Reset" instead[1]. 20th Century Fox later announced the title as Live Free or Die Hard and set a release date of June 29, 2007 with filming to begin in September 2006 [2].

Willis announced that the script has had to be re-written due to similarities with events during Hurricane Katrina in August 2005, specifically an oil tanker explosion that sends huge waves flooding into New Orleans [3].

Is this true? I haven't heard of this...

Well, if it's true... I'd rather not have the new Rambo movie as Rambo Returns... And as long as Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis can still run and jump like they used to, then that's great! I hope they won't change the lead cast at the last minute. I hate it when they have a different cast playing for the lead role in a sequel to a movie...
