and you thought it was over!!!!

With lots of ILL CONCIEVED copy cats, and that general "not really a business" feel - pixel sites are about as bad as link farms as far as Im concerned.

But I have to say that when someone thought to do pixel advertising on an actual building in real life - its a cool example of someone taking a tired idea and giving it new life

I really think the only reason people have bought space is the publicity - as who the hell would notice the logos otherwise, and not just see a mess of images.

Now just wait until peope copycat this and all the buildings in town are butt ugly with 34298483290 ads that no one will notice. LOL.

Yes it is!!! Pixels were lame to begin with, and now its oversaturated on top of it. Things like this and link farms pollute the internet with crap and I hope google/yahoo crack down on pixel sites just the same for being link farms with logos.

I think this is a horrible idea that is only temporarily successful due to novelty --- this is not what real business is about. I only respect that the person in this example AT LEAST did something other than a pixel website. They applied it in the real world. Hence me sharing it lol

But will that advertising be useful or bring any kind of decent ROI to the people who bought it? Doubtful.

But I understand there are varying opinions!

I believe people who bought those advertising have the money to do so.. if not, you are right, they probably wouldn't see many benefits from it but getting the "buzz and PR" that received is well worth the money that spent to buy that space. I see it's only monthly basis.. temp.. unless you keep paying for that spot.
